Torabhaig 2017 Legacy Series Inaugural Release

Torabhaig is the first whisky distillery to be built on the Isle of Skye in 190 years, and the second ever to be granted a licence to distil on the island. The distillery is housed in a converted 19th century farmstead fed by nearby burns Allt Breacach and Allt Gleann. The renovation project began in 2014 and three years later, in 2017, the first spirit flowed from the stills.

Torabhaig 2017 is the Inaugural release of The Legacy Series, a heavily peated single malt made with concerto malted barley with an in-grain phenols content of 55-60ppm. & matured in first-fill bourbon barrels.

An expertly crafted spirit with a well-balanced smoky flavor and an elegant character, resulting in a sophisticated and distinctively maritime whisky.

Drawn from a select batch of 100 barrels, distilled and casked in early 2017.
