Wines from the plateau and lower foothills of the Alps have long been a secret that has been kept within Switzerland. Often from very low yielding vineyards the table wines of Dole and Fendant are complimented by more premium offerings and in particular some Pinot Noirs. Few Swiss wines make it to the UK, but those that do are a must to try.
