In 1994, Haute Cabriere's founder Achim von Arnim faced a challenge as the grapes were ripening too fast to make a planned Cap Classique. However, he took a chance and created South Africa's first Chardonnay Pinot Noir, showcasing his skill and ingenuity. The result was a critically acclaimed and beloved wine.

The 2024 vintage marks the 30th anniversary of this iconic SA wine.
